Join us on Wednesday evenings at the QE Park Centre, Railton Road, Guildford. Our Story
STOUGHTON HEARTS & VOICES COMMUNITY CHOIR - GUILDFORD
(Updated Tuesday 16th November 2021)
Our twenty-strong, non-auditioned choir includes those who first discovered their voice with us as well as lifelong singers. We enjoy everything from folk and choral pieces to musical theatre and pop. Rehearsals take pla
ce on Wednesday evenings in Stoughton, Guildford as we prepare for relaxed concerts and community performances. We’re proudly mixed-ability and seek a leader who’s committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for all singers. We’re celebrating our 10th anniversary this year (happy birthday us!) – some of our members have been with us since the very beginning, while others joined just last term. Some of us have sung in choirs before and read music, while others are new to singing and learn by ear. Something our members really value is the choir’s smaller size – it means there’s plenty of room for friendships to grow alongside our music. Each summer and Christmas, we host an informal concert at our home venue, the QE Park Centre (Guildford GU2 9LX) and enjoy getting out and about to perform in the community when possible. We’ve Christmas-carolled on Guildford High Street, Wassailed at Rosamund Community Garden, and sung in the Harvest Moon at Box Hill. CHOIR LEADER: currently vacant
