Harlequin Chamber Choir An award-winning small, balanced and versatile choir for confident, competent choral singers committed to presenting eclectic, communicative performances.

With unashamedly high standards, Harlequin Chamber Choir is a small, versatile group of auditioned amateur singers. The choir attracts singers of all ages, from gap year students to established professionals and has a lovely youthful feel. A number of its members are former university choral scholars. The group performs both 'a ca****la' and accompanied music of carefully programmed sacred and sec

ular music throughout the ages. Music is sung both from memory and with scores, depending on complexity and musical style. Singers need to feel comfortable in small groups and be confident to hold a part independently. We are flexible on rehearsal attendance but require high standards of musicianship. The choir performs in concerts, at weddings and charity events, sometimes as a whole and sometimes in smaller ensembles. The choir enters competitions and festivals. Harlequin Chamber Choir is based in Guildford, in West Surrey. Harlequin meets on Tuesday evenings at the United Reformed Church. The choir is by audition only, intends to remain small, but is still interested in hearing from keen singers.

Come and join us at Ripley Village Hall for a relaxed summer evening of sipping, snacking and singing! Harlequin Chamber Choir and special guests will entertain you with songs spanning Medieval to Contemporary, based on drinking, feasting and revelry! Sit with friends at round tables, indulge in a variety of nibbles and drinks while we perform, and enjoy both indoor and outdoor spaces at this lovely new venue.
