We are SO excited to tell you all that we will be announcing THIS YEARS show on Friday!

Friday will be an audition pre rehearsal where students will be given the audition material for auditions taking place on Monday!

We can not wait- it’s going to be epic!

What an excellent start to our performing arts club 24/25 🤩

We are beyond proud to announce that our very own Josephine placed 3rd in the OGT National finals!
Out of over 200+ students who entered, Josephine was the top 3❤️
We had an amazing day at the Rep Theatre, supporting and touring the theatre- we also got to meet Myleen Class

🎭STUCK IN OZ 2024🎭

That’s a wrap! Stuck in Oz is officially over and we’d like to thank everybody who has supported the club this year. We truly couldn’t have done it without the consistent dedication from the students and their parents.

Furthermore, a huge thank you to Mrs Winton, Miss Morgan, Mrs Jenkins & Mrs Stow for their generous support and assistance towards the club. You are all absolutely incredible and helped make the show!

Also, a giant thank you to the Year 11s; Dakota, Mia, Laisa and Kaisha who have taken their time to do our performer’s hair and makeup. Additionally, Sam, who is incharge of the music and Roan/Iris who do the lights. You are amazing!

Finally, we must give the biggest thank you to Miss Clarke who has spent every week planning props, scenes, choreographing the dances and writing the ENTIRE SCRIPT.

This show marks the end of our Year 11’s OMA performing arts club journey! What a way to celebrate.
As the Year 11’s are leaving, Harley & Sophie must step down from their positions as performing arts club presidents, so, we are thrilled to announce that Jack & Kosi will be stepping up as presidents! ✨

Our Performing Arts Team are so excited to put on a wonderful show tonight. Please ensure that you have your tickets ready when you arrive at the Academy.

The team are spending all day rehearsing script, dances and timing. We cannot wait to showcase what we’ve been practicing!

On Wednesday, students have a full day off timetable to help them prepare for the show the following evening.

We had a fantastic afternoon celebrating the year 11s today with a buffet and leavers assembly! It was wonderful to see so many students receiving special awards for their hard work over the last few years. We wish luck to all of our year 11 students for whatever your future holds. You have smashed the last 5 years and we are sure you will continue to do so!

Next stop: PROM 2024 🤵🏻‍♀️🤵🏻‍♂️💃🏻🕺🏻!

Also, a big thank you and well done to Mr Fawcett, Year 11 Progress leader, for the effort making today so special, and for guiding and supporting the year 11s on their secondary school journey! 🌟
