Total Kayos Youth Theatre

Total Kayos Youth Theatre Youth Theatre for 7- 14 Year Olds. These workshops lead to auditions for our annual performance where the skills are then put to practise.

Total Kayos Youth Theatre is a musical theatre based group where children aged 8-15 can come along every Sunday to explore many aspects of drama including Improvisation, Devising, Mime, Tableaux, Dance, Movement, Singing and Voice. Not only do they learn valuable theatre skills, but they learn to work as a team to create ideas for performance, develop confidence and communication skills and most i

mportant of all, Have fun! At the beginning of each academic year we put on a series of workshops which cover all aspects of performance as mentioned above. The end product is the end of year show where the children can show off everything they’ve learned over the past year. Our shows are usually a sell out and it’s safe to say that the audience are always blown away by the talent on stage! Recent productions include The Aristocats, The Wizard of Oz, Seussical, Aladdin, Busgy Malone & Mulan. We are part of Inverclyde Youth Theatre & have 2 levels of youth theatre

It’s been a busy end of term for Inverclyde youth theatre, put on a fab performance of High School musical this month, last week our Holly and Cooper attended Greenock Telegraph Community Champion Awards, collecting a trophy in the arts category for Inverclyde Youth Theatre (aka kayos and total kayos) 🫶🏼 and this week we have a Kayos Kabaret takeover at the Loreto Club Greenock on Saturday night! Something very exciting happened last Thursday night
Thanks to one of our lovely families we were nominated, shortlisted and won the Community Arts section of the Greenock Telegraph Community Champion Awards.

Two of our former members were there to represent both parts of the Inverclyde Youth Theatre family - Kayos & Total Kayos.

We can't thank the judging team enough for selecting us as overall winners. Its lovely recognition for what we believe is a true community group. We firmly believe that we make drama and musical theatre accessible to all.

The next community event that we are hosting takes place on Saturday night!
