We're lit purple for National Recovery Month. 💜
Organisations around the world are raising awareness throughout September, honouring the resilience, strength and courage of people recovering from addiction and mental health challenges.
At The Beacon, our Creative Recovery group, delivered in partnership with Your Voice Inverclyde, offers transformative opportunities for people in recovery, as well as their families and carers, to rebuild confidence, connect with others, and express their experiences through the arts.
On Friday 4 September, from 12pm to 3pm at The Wyllieum, we're celebrating the launch of Creative Recovery's second publication, It Will Be Alright with an Onion. Everyone is welcome to join us for this celebration of recovery, creativity and community.
But that's not all! Our Creative Recovery participants have also been hard at work creating The Great Game of Existence TM, a new work devised and written with award-winning poet Kevin P. Gilday. They're excited to perform it later this month and share their work with audiences. Tickets are free, and you can book yours using the link below.
If you'd like to make creativity a part of your recovery journey, or you know someone you think may benefit by taking part, learn more on our website here: https://www.beaconartscentre.co.uk/take-part/creative-recovery/
