Lovely leafy Chorlton will play host to both our social evenings for the UK Sacred Harp Convention.

It'd be a great place to base yourselves for the weekend. Easy to get to neighbouring Stretford from there, Chorlton is a vibrant place blessed with many joys - a bookshop, a record shop, a cheesemongers, great charity shops, not to mention countless places to eat and drink.

Chorlton has plenty to offer, considering it is an alternative to Manchester City Centre. Find out more in our guide.

It's World Bee Day. There's a day for everything, huh.

Still, bees are great. And here's a lovely Manchester Bee to remind you to get busy with your plans for the UK Sacred Harp Convention.

And if, in the midst of all the excitement, you didn't mow your lawn for a month, well that'd be an added bonus for our furry little pollinating friends.

Looking into accommodation for the UK Sacred Harp Convention? Venues for singing and socials are both in South Manchester (Stretford and Chorlton, respectively) so you don't need to be in the heart of the city.

Unless you want to! It is an exciting city to explore, so of course we recommend extending your stay so you can make the most of it. (No, we're not getting kickbacks from the tourist board. Yes, we absolutely should be.)
