💎 Design Team Spotlight – Wendy Walters 💎

This beautiful fold card by Wendy Walters showcases just how versatile The Diamonds Collection can be.

Using layered diamond dies as the focal point, Wendy has created a stunning dimensional design featuring a honeycomb background, buzzing bees, delicate lavender and a charming beehive. The soft blue colour palette gives the card a fresh, airy feel while the shaped fold construction adds extra interest and movement.

The combination of die-cut elements and stamped images works perfectly together, creating a scene full of detail and personality. It's a wonderful example of how the Diamonds Collection can be used to create much more than mats and layers, opening up endless creative possibilities for unique card designs.

Happy Sunday all 😊 In today's demo I show how I made this nature-inspired peaceful scene card, using stamps from The Brush Stroke collection, by Gwen Fletcher for Woodware Craft Collection 💕

For this project, I used Royal & Langnickel Watercolour Paints to bring the beautiful landscape scene to life, building up soft layers of colour to enhance the tranquil mood of the design. I love how relaxing this style of watercolouring can be, allowing the stamped images to take centre stage while adding subtle depth and atmosphere 🎨

Dies to Dot Butterfly Shaker Card

Hi everyone, Christine here with another project using the beautiful Dies to Dot Collection! This time I decided to create a shaker card – and for a change, it’s not an A6 card!

The main panel featured on the front of the shaker was actually a leftover piece from a previous project. I had originally die-cut the Lotus Flower Background Die from white card and used it as a stencil with some of the fabulous Jamie Rodgers Crafts Mica Mists. As crafters, we all know it's almost impossible to throw away something pretty, so I found a way to give it a second life in this card!

How I made the card
Start with your Lotus Flower Background die-cut, whether it's a leftover piece or a freshly cut one. Adhere it behind a frame created using the Dot Dash Squares from the Dies to Dot Collection.

Attach acetate to the back of the frame. Take care not to use too much adhesive, but ensure everything is secured well, especially around the delicate details.

Trim away any excess acetate from around the edges and turn the panel over. Add a border of 2mm foam tape around the frame and include a few supporting pieces behind the larger flowers to keep everything sturdy.

Fill the shaker with your chosen embellishments. I used hole-less sequins for this card. Once you're happy with the amount, remove the backing from the foam tape and attach a piece of Blue Whisper Foundations Card to seal everything in. Press firmly around all the foam tape to ensure none of your sequins can escape.

Using Jamie’s Deckle Edge and Stitched Rectangle Dies, cut a piece of vellum to fit perfectly behind the Sending You All the Love in the World sentiment die.

To finish, add your focal butterfly from the Dies to Dot Collection. I chose the largest butterfly, die-cut it from white card, adhered it to vellum and trimmed neatly around the edges. I then embellished it with 3mm and 6mm silver gems for a little extra sparkle.

And that's the finished card! I love how the shaker element adds movement and sparkle, while the soft blue tones keep the design elegant and delicate. Try experimenting with different colour combinations, or swap the large butterfly for a cluster of smaller ones to create a completely different look. Most importantly, have fun exploring all the possibilities within the Dies to Dot Collection!

Diane Williams has created a delightful birthday card that perfectly combines dimension, texture and charm.

Using the Bee Meadow stamp and die set alongside the Sunflowers die set, Diane has built a beautiful floral scene filled with crisp white blooms and lush green foliage. The soft pink colour palette gives the card a fresh and elegant feel, while the striped background adds subtle interest and texture without distracting from the focal design.

The sweet bee buzzing across the card brings movement and personality to the project, complemented by the playful "Just buzzin' by to say..." sentiment. Sparkling flower centres add the perfect finishing touch, catching the light and adding extra detail to this cheerful birthday make.
