Windmill Close Christmas Lights A passion for Christmas lights has created a house full of synchronised lights to music Hello! Welcome to or page.

Windmill Close Christmas Lights is a light display that uses a computerised controller to individually tell each pixel (LED Light) what colour it should be and when to turn on and off and all sync'd to music. I've always had some sort of light display at Halloween and Christmas but usually static lights obtained from the big DIY sheds, One year i then went to Disney and saw the Osbourne Christmas

Light Show and was mesmerised by lights all flashing to music or sequenced. Upon my return i researched and found a controller called Light O Rama which i used for about 2 years but found to be difficult to source mains operated LED lights so in 2020 i knew i needed to up my game and stumbled across a program called xlights which is far easier to use and has endless possibilities, with this and pixels that are each addressable you can have a magical world of Lights that all are welcome to see. I try to add something new each year or change it so our regular viewers interested, we have recently started to collect for charity and in 2021 we collected a few hundred pounds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. This year in 2022 we are collecting for East Anglia Children's Hospice and hoping to raise lots of money and you can now donate by contactless tap and go! with our new donation and push to start music button stand. Like we say next year will be bigger and better...

All this was possible with help of my fellow ELF's on the European Light Fanatics Facebook group page and the suppliers Build A Light Show, Panelsrus and Xtremsequences

Hi all, hasn’t another year gone by so quick,Halloween is around the corner and the clocks will be going back making Halloween all dark and spooky.

Unfortunately it won’t be spooky down at no 8 Windmill close, I’ve decided to have a year off Halloween and Christmas lights so don’t come knocking this year.

Sorry if this has disappointed you but I’m sure there will be plenty more decorated houses in and around Cornard and Sudbury.

Happy Halloween and Christmas and hopefully we will be bigger and better in 2025!

Hello everyone, hope you all had a good Christmas. Now we’ve had the turkey and trimmings it’s now that quiet time between Christmas and New Years we have stopped the Christmas songs and moved to our other sequences.
We have the following, Barbie girl, Bruno, Let it go, A million dreams, Fantasmic, Zero (Ralph breaks the internet), Panic at the disco, Madness our house, Sam Ryder Spaceman, Tsunami.

Yes all this for free!! Just wrap up warm and watch for as long as you want.

We are still collecting for EACH Children’s hospice on our contactless reader.

Push the red button at anytime to hear the music that last 2mins and if you’re braving the weather push it again to hear further.(we do this on a timer just to not annoy the neighbours)

Hi Everyone

Sorry that I’ve not posted any updates lately but it’s been one problem after another.

The lights must of had Gremlins and Spirits from Halloween but they are now working with just a couple of small teething issues to sort and then they’ll all be on to enjoy.

This year we will be having twinkly lights with no music on Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday 4:30pm til 9pm
and the full display with music on Friday,Saturday and Sunday. 5pm til 8:30pm

Hopefully it will be all on this Sunday 3rd December

Remember we are collecting for EACH East Anglias Children’s Hospices and have a contactless card reader on the stand at the front of the garden where if you push the red button the shows sound increases in level.

We had a very successful Halloween raising a lot of money and handing out a record amount of sweet treats.
I'll be putting together a video of the light show over the next few days and posting it here along with a final amount we raised of which will be added to our fourth coming Christmas display.

I would like to wish all our supporters of Windmill Close Christmas Lights a Happy New Year and thank those who donated whilst watching the lights this year.
We’ve raised over two hundred pounds and counting for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, we are now planning how we can change things for next year so watch this space and share our page so we can raise even more next year.
