HELP NEEDED!
On Saturday 1 December we are holding our annual Craft Fayre, as ever organised by the inestimable Liz Owen. This is a very important fundraiser for the Guild, so we need it full. Anyone who helped at or came to the Macmillan Coffee Morning in September will know how beautiful it is to see everyone come together for a day, and how much fun can be had. And this one comes with added Christmas! So, we are looking for...
MORE STALLS! If you happen to fancy running a stall this year, selling anything at all really (doesn't have to be stuff you've made), or know anybody who might, please contact Liz as soon as possible to book yourself in. You may well find you make a nice bit of extra money to spend on festive gifts!
CAKES! We need a nice selection of cakes, big and small, to sell slices of on the bar. No theme, just whatever you fancy baking/making!
RAFFLE PRIZES! What does every good fundraiser need? A raffle! And what does every good raffle need? Prizes! If you have anything you are happy to donate, or are willing to contribute, please let us know!
HELP ON THE DAY! If you are happy to give up any time, even an hour or two, on the day itself, we will be looking for people to work on the bar selling teas, coffees and cake, and to sit on the door collecting money as people enter.
HELP BEFOREHAND! Zoe Blowers will be co-ordinating the distribution of flyers in roads around the Guild. If you are able to deliver some, even if it's just a road or two, please let Zoe know!
If you can help in any of the ways listed above, please let one of us know. Finally, if you are unable to help, it'd be amazing if you could find a bit of time on the day to come along and have a look around or enjoy a bit of cake. It's a really fun day, the perfect way to get this most festive of months under way, and the more people who turn up, the better it is for the stall holders, meaning they're more likely to come back next year. Plus, just as importantly, you'll probably find some excellent and unusual gifts awaiting you for your troubles!
