So Ive been working on this sleeve tattoo today! Chris has had alot of work by me in the past, today we finished off this lion and sharpend up a few bits here and there. A bit of a gap filling session! Im a big fan of using empty space in a sleeve! By that I mean negative spaces around the subjects with few details, to draw the viewers eye to focus on what we want! Such as the space around the gladiators helmet. Often people try to cram spaces with little things but it becomes too messy I think. Or maybe i might actually put some birds in there or something? We will see on the next session

Hey guys, today I added some background to this portrait as part of a larger sleeve design. A kind of autumnal woodland piece. I decided to blur out the some of the background to create some depth. If everything is hyper detailed and in focus it distracts from the portrait. Leaving just have a few leaves and twigs in focus works great. Ill grab some better pictures when we finish! Everything else is healed ✌🏻
