Do you own a funky fantastic hat???
Well now is the time to show it off!
The way our nights work is if you want to perform, come along and put your name in the 'sacred hat'.
Now with an added twist, because the 'sacred hat' could be your hat! It just has to be the best, the weirder the better!
Winner will recieve a drink 🍸on me, and their hat will be used as the 'sacred hat' for the night, a rather special role if I do say so myself 🤪

I'm still coming down from the clouds after our first open mic night! What a way to start us off! Thank you to everyone who made it and even the folk who sent well wishes and the guys at Ryan's who have looked after us through this whole process. Pictures and videos will be uploaded soon!
In the meantime keep your eyes peeled for more information on our upcoming events and the competition I'll be putting in place!

It's officially September!
I'm going to be counting the days till our very first open mic night!
Wether you've got tonnes of experience or none at all, wether you want to perform or to simply listen (we value both equally), if you have poetry, or want to sing, or share short stories, we want to hear it all! It will be a safe space for everyone, and there will be a treat for anyone brave enough to get up and perform, come join us on the night to find out what ... SAVE THE DATE Tuesday the 16th of September 6pm til close @ Ryans bar in Govanhill ...

Welcome to Ryan's Open Mic Performance page, otherwise to be known as ROMP, in homage to my roots back home. My names Jazz, and I'll be honoured to be your host for these events.
Wether you write poetry at home and want to try your chances at performing them in front of a live audience, or if your a regular performer, if you want to sing or even read out a short story, we want to hear it!
