The Studio at ThirteenEight

Morning everyone 👋

Just a quick update from The Studio .

The studio will be closed for the next couple of weeks while I’m out working on various community projects, murals and commissions. The plan is to reopen from the week commencing 29th June.

I’m also booked up for the next few Saturdays, so the studio will be closed on Saturdays until 18th July. Unfortunately, this means there will be no Doodle Club sessions between now and then.

I’ve also decided to pause my Home Education classes for the remainder of this school year. They’ll return with a fresh start in the new school year from September.

Although the studio won’t be open as normal, I’ll still be in and out regularly. If you need spray paint, lino supplies, art materials or anything else, just send me a message and we can arrange a time for you to pop in.

The good news is that the Summer of Spray adult workshops are still running throughout July and August, including stencil and spray painting sessions. You can book your place through the website.

If you happen to see me in the studio while you’re passing, feel free to pop in and say hello!

The Summer of Spray is almost upon us.

Adult spray paint workshops are now live on the website. Learn how to make/cut stencils and spray paint your own piece of art to take home. Looking for something to do with your other half. Book the date night spray paint session. All workshops are BYOB and 16+ except the Date night which is 18+.

What a difference a year makes. This time last year I was a couple of weeks from opening the doors to The Studio. It’s been a crazy 12 months.

An update from our Work EXperience initiative programme - The Studio at ThirteenEight

Our youth volunteer is really enjoying her work experience programme at The Studio at ThirteenEight.
Whilst being able to experience everything the environment has to offer, she has been encouraged to help with planning workshops and these are building on her organisational skills 🙌

We are offering something a little different at the Studio this week. We are now stocking “The Placement” by local independent author

The main character Wren is a rebellious teen, equipped with insults and spray cans. seems like a perfect fit for the Studio.
