What a brilliant evening celebrating the launch of our beautiful new book and the wonderful creative community we have grown together.

We are so proud of all the women who have been part of this journey over the last four years, and yes, there were definitely a few happy tears in the room last night.

Huge thanks to and .studios for supporting us to create this book and document our story so far 💛

(Thought we’d add a bit of Kate Bush to the mix in case celebrating four years of magic wasn’t enough and you still needed a bit of extra help to feel more feelings 😭)

Although it’s impossible to sum it up in one photo, this one is a lovely snapshot of our Visual Arts short course over the last month… we revelled in joy, colour and connection, scratched our heads about colour theory, how to represent a memory in a drawing and what on earth Asemic writing is, but we came out with dirty fingers, lighter hearts and lots of news ways of thinking and seeing the world. What a joy! ✨

✨✏️Christmas is over (we hope you all celebrated warmly!) and it’s nearly time to think about the new year…

Our Creative Writing short course for Gosport women starts next week on 6 January and we think it’s the perfect way to ease into some creativity in 2026!

It’s supportive, low pressure and lots of fun - think playing with words, diving into creative prompts and seeing what happens.

All experience levels welcome. You don’t need to be a writer, just curious!
�Places are Pay What You Decide, because we want everyone to be able to take part, without having to worry about the finances.

How did we celebrate the end of the 2025 Gosport Creates year? By holding a joint Christmas and Jane Austen birthday party of course!

There was pyjamas, birthday/Christmas/birthday/Christmas pass-the-parcel, crafting, mountains of party snacks, and a classic game of Bullet Pudding (won (or lost?) by our wonderful )

So grateful to all the incredible women who’ve made Gosport Creates the wonderful, uplifting, joyful, inspiring thing it is, we can’t wait to keep creating with you in 2026! ✨

On top of the regular sessions, guest workshops and theatre visits we offer as part of Gosport Creates, we are beyond excited to be developing a new project with our participants that weaves together Gosport, creativity and heritage.

This moment is from one of our early sessions at where we explored some of the ways local stories are told and how we might shape our own together.

We are so grateful to be bringing this project to life through the Gosport Heritage Generator Grants programme, with thanks to and for their support!

We kicked off our printmaking short course with the brilliant .a.boyd earlier this week and dove headfirst into monoprint, which are one-of-a-kind prints made with found and foraged materials. We had a glorious time embracing imperfection, play, and discovery! 🌿✨💛

Blurry interval smiles, the marvellous Mary Poppins, and Julie Andrews’ ACTUAL dress!

So grateful to the Mayflower Theatre and their Community First Nights scheme for giving Gosport Creates the chance to experience the magic of musical theatre. This brilliant schemes opens up theatre to local people, helping communities enjoy incredible cultural experiences together.

What a practically perfect night of laughter, music, and memories! 🎶🌂✨
