WOW! What a fantastic turn out for our auditions last night. The room was packed to the rafters with singing and dancing talent that totally blew us away! THANK YOU, to each and every one of you who attended, our audiences are in for a real treat in June! ❤ We have a few more auditions to complete, and then we get started ..... and WE CAN'T WAIT!! 🎶🕺💃🎭

***** AUDITION TIME *****
Our summer show will be ‘SPOTLIGHT ON THE MUSICALS’, a compilation of some of the very best numbers from musicals performed in the West End, Broadway and beyond, with shows on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of June

All we need now is a cast of singers and dancers to join us!
Auditions for this exciting production will be held next FRIDAY (FEBRUARY 27TH) AT 7PM in the studio at the PAVILION THEATRE, GORLESTON.
The audition will involve a choreographed movement audition for everyone, a choreographed dance audition for those with more dance experience and then singing auditions ONLY for those wishing to be considered for solo parts in the show.
SOLO SINGERS, please prepare a musical theatre song (approx. 3 mins long), with either a backing track (with no vocals) on your phone (please download before your audition and not rely on wifi/network), or sheet music if you wish to be accompanied on piano.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a company show so all will be expected to be a part of the ensemble where possible, even if selected as a soloist.

We are a friendly lot, and ALL are welcome with no experience necessary, just a willingness to join in and enjoy performing some great musical theatre!

It's been just over a month since panto, and we're refreshed and ready to go again for our summer show and we're so excited!

Further details will be on here tomorrow evening at 6pm so keep your eyes peeled, especially if you fancy joining us ON stage!

If you want a good laugh this weekend get yourself down to the Pavilion Theatre & Bandstand Gorleston and see what happens when the gardening fraternity come up against the corporate big boys! We've been reliably informed that no vegetables were harmed during rehearsals, but who knows!!?

It's not really great gardening weather, so let the do the work and get down there for a great night of comedy in a nice warm theatre!

Nick, our director/musical director and recent Dame Millie, has packed away the frocks and is going back to his day job, spreading the performing arts message at The Place in Great Yarmouth (formerly Palmers) starting next Monday (January 19th)

Two six week taster courses in Singing and Theatre are available to anyone 19+ and are free to sign up to!

No experience required, just a willingness to 'have a go' and have fun, enjoying some acting and singing in the fantastic facilities at The Place 🎭

A massive THANK YOU to all the lovely audiences we had over the weekend at our panto, your support and fantastic feedback, as always, is so gratefully received by us all! ❤

We couldn't do what we do without the unseen heroes behind the scenes.

Firstly a young lady who did a sterling job backstage keeping us all in check whilst bringing in backcloths, sorting props, helping quick changes, and mic checks all whilst staying the calmest person behind the curtain! Thank you Amélie Brown from ALL of us, you were a SUPERSTAR!! 🤩

Another unsung hero is our costume guru, Carol Shelbourne. As well as costuming the entire show, she had the unenviable task of being Dame Millie's dresser (not a job for the fainthearted!) and was a constant presence with needle in hand for running repairs throughout the run! Carol, we love and salute you ! 😍

We are, as always, indebted to the skill, professionalism and friendliness of the Pavilion Tech Team. Tom Darnell on lights and Jonny Rust on sound always do a fantastic job for us and we appreciate all the extra help they give us!

Last but not least, to all the staff and volunteers . We always appreciate the warm welcome and encouragement we receive from Luke, Alex & all the staff and volunteers at this fantastic theatre. We thank you all!
