The inspiration for these brilliantly realistic animal paintings by our Junior Art Clubbers came from Wildlife Artist and Conservationist David Shepherd, famous for his realistic paintings of African wildlife, and his lifelong commitment to protecting endangered species. He used his Art to raise funds for anti-poaching patrols, wildlife rehabilitation, and wildlife education programmes.
The children worked really hard on their paintings, and we used the grid method for perspective and realism. It was something new, and a real challenge, we ran over time (apologies to parents) 😅 but wasn’t it worth it, their paintings are “roarsome” and we are super proud of what are young artists were able to achieve 👏🏻🎨👏🏻
