We still have some spaces available for our Young Artists workshop “Deconstructing Portraits” tutored by local Artist Emma Scales aka Mrs Panda Makes on Saturday 13th June. If your teen loves Art our “Young Artist”monthly workshops are for 12-16yr olds. This is a great opprtunity for teenagers to learn new Art techniques, work with different mediums, and make some new “Art” friends in a small and friendly space. The inspiration for these brilliantly realistic animal paintings by our Junior Art Clubbers came from Wildlife Artist and Conservationist David Shepherd, famous for his realistic paintings of African wildlife, and his lifelong commitment to protecting endangered species. He used his Art to raise funds for anti-poaching patrols, wildlife rehabilitation, and wildlife education programmes.
The children worked really hard on their paintings, and we used the grid method for perspective and realism. It was something new, and a real challenge, we ran over time (apologies to parents) 😅 but wasn’t it worth it, their paintings are “roarsome” and we are super proud of what are young artists were able to achieve 👏🏻🎨👏🏻

Our Junior Art Clubbers had fun experimenting with Abstract Art last week; with a little inspiration from “Wassily Kandinsky” playing around with shapes and colour and mixed mediums, they produced some pretty cool pieces 😊🎨🖌️🙌🏻

Our next Young Artists Workshop is Sat 13th June, drop a message to book 😊🎨

Our next Young Artist workshop at will be on Saturday 13th June, where we will be creating Deconstructed Portraits using a variety of mixed media approaches.

Session times:
Morning session - 10:00-12:30
Afternoon session - 13:30-16:00

So, if you know someone who:

- Is aged 12-16
- Enjoys doing art
- Is looking to try new things
- Needs some screen-free time
- Want to meet new people

We would love to see you at our sessions. 😊🎨

Our small but friendly group currently meet once a month (morning and afternoon sessions available) where we learn new art techniques and generally have creative fun within a gallery setting.

No previous artistic experience or ability is necessary. All you need to bring is your creativity and enthusiasm, and we will provide the rest 😀

Each 2.5-hour session is £15 per person; this includes all materials and equipment.

Group numbers are kept small for our sessions (max. 7 children) as we feel it helps keep a calm and friendly atmosphere, while giving us the ability to give guidance to those who may need it.
