🚧 COMMUNITY NOTICE 🚧

As we prepare for the Goosnargh and Whittingham Whitsuntide Festival tomorrow, please note the following important parking information:

• The Village Hall car park is now closed until after the festival.
• The shops car park on the corner of Church Lane and Whittingham Lane will be closed from 9am tomorrow.

If you are visiting the village for the festival, parking is available at Guild Lodge. We kindly ask everyone to please avoid blocking access routes and to use common sense and courtesy when parking around the village.

We also ask residents and visitors to please move any vehicles off the parade route by 10am.

Thank you for your cooperation and support — we’re looking forward to a fantastic day for the whole community! 🎉

🎉 GOOSNARGH & WHITTINGHAM WHITSUNTIDE FESTIVAL 🎉

🏡 Do you live on the festival route? It’s time to get the bunting out and help bring the festival spirit to our village once again!

As many of you know, we are no longer permitted to attach bunting to the lampposts throughout the village. However, we would still love to see the festival route looking as colourful and welcoming as ever. ❤️💙💛💚

Whether it’s bunting on your homes, fences, gates, gardens or businesses – every bit helps make our village look fantastic for residents and visitors alike.

Let’s work together to make the route bright, welcoming and full of Whitsuntide spirit! 🎪🎺🎠

👑 Re-introducing our Festival Queen for 2026 — Mary Blundell 👑

Mary is 10 years old and currently in Year 6 at Goosnargh Oliversons. A proud Goosnargh resident all her life, Mary comes from a family with deep roots in the village — with at least four generations attending Goosnargh Oliversons School, and two of her aunties previously serving as Festival Queens too! ✨

Mary enjoys music, dancing, drama and playing football with CP United, and she’s also a big PNE supporter with a season ticket! ⚽🎭🎶

Mary is incredibly excited and honoured to represent the village as Festival Queen and is very much looking forward to Saturday’s festivities and future community events.

Please come down to the village this Saturday the 30th May and see Mary and the rest of our fantastic parade entries, it’s not to be missed!

🎡 Harrison’s Family Fun Fair Returns to the Goosnargh & Whittingham Whitsuntide Festival! 🎪

The Goosnargh & Whittingham Whitsuntide Festival is delighted to welcome back Harrison’s Family Fun Fair to Goosnargh Village Green for another fantastic weekend of family entertainment.

Join us on Friday 29th May (6:00pm – 8:30pm) and Saturday 30th May (1:00pm – 9:00pm) and enjoy all the excitement of a traditional family fun fair, with something for everyone to enjoy!

Join us at the Village Hall after the procession for a lovely Afternoon Tea with our Festival Queen as part of the Goosnargh and Whittingham Whitsuntide Festival! 🌸

Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy a fantastic selection of delicious sandwiches, homemade cakes and sweet treats in a friendly community atmosphere. ☕🍰
