Well… this piece has a story 😂🏆
Partway through the competition, my original client had an unexpected personal emergency and we had to stop. I genuinely thought my comp was over.
Somehow, I found an absolute hero willing to step in (who didn’t even know what the design was), resized the entire design, started again from scratch and had around 5 hours to pull it off. Thank you so much Tara! What a legend you were sitting for nearly 5 hours with me working in complete silence with one 3 minute break 😂
And somehow… we actually placed. 🏆😭
Massive thank you to jessicapaulatattoos who didn’t let me panic, ran around with me and helped me sort the new stencil, and basically told me to shut up and crack on. Love you 🖤
Becoming a mum two years ago has been absolutely life changing, and somewhere along the way I think I lost a little bit of who Abbie was outside of being Mum. I’ve questioned myself, my work, and whether I still had it in me more times than I’d like to admit.
This weekend gave me a bit of that person back.
Not because I think I’ve suddenly made it, but because it reminded me that I can do this. I shouldn’t give up. I want to keep pushing, keep learning, keep competing and see just how far I can take my work.
Turns out the fire is still very much fu***ng there. 🔥🖤
