Welcome to the new Gloucester History Play Festival page, please like the page to keep in touch with ALL that will be starting to roll out as we develop , and create this new event that will tell the history of Gloucester through a series short plays (20) and three major full length productions of Æthelflæd - Edward II and Henry III that will roll out over the Festival fortnight in late 2024 or early 2025. The Henry III will tell the tale of Magna Carter sealed by Henry’s father John in 1215 but the definitive copies issued under Henry in 1225 so a 800th anniversary Year in 2025 and as such the play will make up part of the Magna Carta Trusts events in partnership with other historically linked Towns , Cities, Universities and Cathedrals. So lots to roll out in the coming months follow here or on the GAC page.
