First of all, I just want to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to every single one of you who has reached out over the last few days. Reading your DMs, seeing your comments, and watching our posts get shared so far and wide has honestly brought me to tears. The love and solidarity from all of you proves just how special this community is, and it’s keeping us all going right now. Please, please keep sharing our story and keeping the noise up!
Behind the scenes, the team is working endlessly, and I wanted to share a few important updates on where things stand:
So many of you have kindly messaged us with empty buildings around the area—thank you so much! Sadly, most of the locations suggested so far haven't been suitable, or the landlords simply haven't wanted to engage with RollerXpress. We desperately need a venue where our kids and community can thrive again. If you have any genuine leads, or if you know property managers or open-minded landlords who would love to work with a vibrant, inclusive community project, please get in touch with us directly!
A massive thank you to the legal representatives who have reached out and offered their time to review our legal position. They are currently looking over all the written communications between Gloucester Quays / Peel Management and the team to examine their actions surrounding the sudden closure. We are not just letting this sweep under the carpet.
Finally, a quick shoutout to the three specific individuals who have taken the time to send hate our way. I’m not going to name and shame you here—you know exactly who you are... but just know that we see you. We’ll be posting a very special "show and tell" just for you very soon.
We'll be posting all the kind comments from our final roll wall over the next few days so keep an eye out for this and spot your comment.
Thank you all again for wrapping your arms around RollerXpress and families like mine. We might have lost our space for now, but we certainly haven't lost our spirit!
With so much love,
Kelly xox
