Loire River Festival 2021?? Working in progress for a stand at the next festival at Orléans. In 1826 W J M Turner toured the Loire from the coast to Orléans On water by steamboat, part on land by coach. The drawings and water colours were later engraved under his supervision to illustrate Wanderings by the Loire published 1833. We have a first edition enabling us to use these for a Turner/boat related exhibit. It can be noted from these works the similarities between some of the vessels on the Loire and the boats of rivers such as the Wye and Severn.
