Gloucester Garden Centre will be shut Wednesday due to a scheduled power cut so unfortunately that means we will be closed.

Back open from Thursday from 10am and then everyday thereafter for the rest of the school holidays. ☀️

Just a reminder that we will be closed between 9am and 4pm this Wednesday for a planned power outage!

♠️ Aces Player Spotlight ♠️

Cindy Kukielka has been playing competitive minigolf with her family for 20 years. Although her tournament successes are few, she loves the sport and the friends she has met through it. Playing minigolf has been life changing as Cindy's son, Seve, owns Aces Minigolf and Cindy is often found serving and organising club days for the members of the Gloucester Aces Minigolf Club.

How and when did you become interested in Minigolf?

I got into Minigolf by chance, when I saw an advert for a Tournament in Taunton in 2006. As a family we loved playing minigolf together on holiday, so thought it would be a fun day out to enter a putting competition. We turned up on the morning of the tournament and were amazed to find people taking the sport so seriously, Seve won the Junior title and from then on, we were hooked.

Most memorable moment so far?

I have been part of Seve's minigolf journey - his wish to open a course finally came true in 2021 after many years of looking for a suitable venue. I am so proud of what he has achieved at Aces Minigolf - a top quality tournament standard course that is also a great venue for families to play. It is a pleasure to work there.

The growth of Gloucester Aces Minigolf club has been a joy to be part of too. We have members of all ages and abilities (from 8 to 80!) It is heart warming to be involved with such a lovely group of people brought together by their interest in minigolf.

Favourite Hole?

It's difficult to choose one hole - I really like the subtle touch required to play hole 17 well (off the granite). However, I think hole 1 has to be my favourite as, when I ace it, I feel more positive about the rest of my round.

Other interests

I enjoy swimming, cooking and am learning Spanish.

Minigolf goal this year?

I hope to play well in the British Masters Tournament at Aces this weekend. I would also love to play in a tournament abroad. My other goal is to encourage more women and girls to take up the sport, as they often lack the confidence to play competitively. We have a number of top-quality female players and a talented female junior who regularly outscore the men!

A reminder, we will be closed today (Saturday 23rd) from 2:30pm and all day tomorrow (Sunday 24th) for our annual Gloucester Open Doubles and Singles events.

We will be open 7 days next week from Monday for half term holidays.

It was a fantastic week of minigolf where 42 players from around the world competed at Aces Minigolf in the WMF World Adventure Golf Tour Finals.

A big congratulations to all 7 members of our home club, the Gloucester Aces who qualified for the final and impressed on the world stage.

Aces Minigolf is privileged to be hosting the WMF World Adventure Golf Tour Finals on the 1st and 2nd of May.

42 players from around the world will be competing for a share of €8500 (£7400) and the trophy and title of World Adventure Golf Tour Champion.

We will however unfortunately have to close to the public but and you can find our opening hours over the next 2 weeks below.

♠️Aces Player Spotlight - Jas Kukielka ♠️
You will often see Jas carrying out maintenance at the course. He takes great pride in ensuring everyone enjoys their time at Aces so works hard to keep the course in pristine condition. Jas has been playing minigolf for many years and is an eternal optimist - still holding out hope that one day he will win a big tournament! Fingers crossed for 2026, Jas!

How and when did you become interested in Minigolf?
- I began playing almost 20 years ago in the hope that it would provide a cure for my yips! However, sadly it hasn't worked, although I still continue to dream.......

Most memorable moment so far?
- Being part of the winning Welsh Minigolf Club team in 2021 (before Gloucester Aces Minigolf Club existed) when we won the Club Championships. It was extra special as we won it at Aces - one of the first tournaments to be held there. Through minigolf, I have also met such an amazing and lovely group of people, who I am fortunate to call my friends.

Favourite Hole?
- A tough one as all the holes are great tests of skill, but it has to be the keyhole - when I can close the course, lock the shed and drive home after a busy day at Aces! I really enjoy playing hole 5 as it's a finesse shot and I tend to ace it regularly.

Other Interests?
- First aid (as I am known to be accident prone when doing DIY!). I also like most sports - I play golf occasionally and enjoy watching football, snooker and darts.

Minigolf goal in 2026?
- I am playing in the World Crazy Golf Championships in Hastings in June. I haven't played there for many years, and have previously played badly, so I am hoping 2026 will be MY YEAR.
