What a fantastic evening at Nature in Art last night

Celebrating our 60th Anniversary ………

We still have an original member from the very start of the
Art Clubs birth, plus several others who have been part of the club for 50+ years too. It really is incredible.

We celebrated with a delicious buffet from the wonderful staff at Nature in Art, and is was wonderful to a few husbands and wives come to. Without their help we would struggle setting up our annual exhibitions.

We have 30 members, but still have more space if you fancied joining a wonderful friendly group.

The Wildlife Artist Society International Exhibition starts
SATURDAY 23RD MAY - SUNDAY 31ST MAY
Over 300 pieces of original paintings and sculptures for sale.
Also lots of greeting cards, prints and consumables also for sale.
FREE ENTRY … FREE PARKING
VENUE: Nature in Art Twigworth
Two of our members, Peter Morley & Tracy Hancock have paintings in this exhibition.

A wonderful evening at Churchdown Art Clubs Annual Spring Competition last night.
This years subject was ‘Reflections’
17 members of our 31 member group entered into the fun for a chance to win an Easter Egg and trophy.
Mike won 1st Prize with an amazing pastel painting of a primate
Margaret came 2nd with her acrylic painting of a hen
Val came 3rd with her pastel painting of London

We all had tea/coffee and homemade cakes.
NEW MEMBERS:
We have had a few new members join us recently and we still have space for more if you’re interested. There isn’t a teacher, but decades of knowledge on Oils, Acrylic, Pastel, Watercolour, Coloured Pencils if you like to try our group out.

Totally forgot to share our Art Group Christmas Party.
A big thanks also to Ruddy’s Fish & Chip Shop in Hucclecote, where we ordered 25 portions of Fish and Chips.
All pipping hot and delicious.

Finally saw all the winning artists at the club to receive certificates for our November Exhibition.

People’s choice & The Marshall Cup went to Mike Godfrey with his beautiful Red Panda title ‘Sitting Pretty’

Lynn Hurcum (one of our newest members) who had 2 paintings chosen in second place with staggering detail
