Kingsley is only 6 years old and is one half of an inseparable pair with his sister, Tifa. He’s a lovable lad, the most handsome gentleman with the sweetest nature, the biggest heart, and an endless supply of energy.
Recently, Kingsley became really poorly and, after undergoing scans, the vets discovered a suspected intestinal mass that now requires major surgery. He will receive chest X-Rays on the day of the surgery to try and rule out metastatic spread. The operation is expected to involve removing the mass, and potentially part of his intestine, to give him the best possible chance of making a full recovery.
Leah and Andy aren’t asking for help deciding whether to go ahead with the surgery-they’ve already made that decision. Kingsley is family, and they’re doing everything they can for him.
Unfortunately, that comes with a huge financial burden.
The surgery is expected to cost around £4,000, and although they have pet insurance, it will only cover £1,500, leaving them with approximately £2,500 to find for this surgery. There may be potential bills after if there are any complications, but this surgery is scheduled for this Friday coming (July24th) and fingers crossed it will go well and he will be on the road to recovery.
We’re hoping to raise money to help take some of that pressure away so they can focus on what really matters, which is getting Kingsley home to Tifa and helping him recover.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Leah and Andy for a few years now, we work together, and Leah is my closest friend. Watching her and Andy go through this is absolutely heartbreaking. They’re not the kind of people who ask for help, yet they spend so much time helping those around them, which is exactly why I wanted to set this up on behalf of them both.
If you’ve ever visited Mt. Moon Tattoo, watched Glee with Leah, had a good time chatting to all of us, or you simply just love dogs - any contribution, no matter how small, would mean more than you know. And if you can’t donate, simply sharing this page is just as appreciated.
Thank you so much for helping one very loved, very cheeky little dog and the family who would do absolutely anything for him. ❤️
