Get yourself to GNE this weekend, they are absolutely amazing and doing a fundraiser for us. Every penny is detrimental to us saving more lives in the community and we can’t begin to tell you how appreciated it is! 💚🖤💚

🫶 A CAUSE THAT CAN SAVE LIVES — PLEASE SUPPORT

We’ll be holding a half-time bucket collection at Saturday’s home game vs Euxton Villa in support of Glossopdale Community Defibs❤️

A volunteer-led group dedicated to installing and maintaining publicly accessible defibrillators (AEDs) across Glossopdale — including Glossop, Hadfield, Padfield & Hollingworth — ensuring life-saving equipment is always ready when it’s needed most.

With nearly 50 AEDs now active across the area, the group relies entirely on public donations and local fundraising with Heart to Heart to keep them operational, with each unit costing around £500 every 3 years to maintain.

They also provide training and are working towards full coverage across the community — making a real, life-saving difference locally.

We always like to keep you in the loop with what’s happening behind the scenes 💚🖤

Over the past week, we’ve been working through the actions from our latest team meeting, including:

• Installing defibs in new locations
• Prioritising where the next ones are needed most
• Reviewing defibs that need relocating to be more accessible
• Checking live defibs with issues – for example, we currently have four running on their last battery bar. Imagine reaching for a defib in an emergency only to find it doesn’t work 💔
• Planning our next fundraising events

Many people don’t realise that our next order for defibs, cabinets, pads, batteries and defib kits comes in at over £16,000 – even with a fantastic supplier deal.

We’re incredibly grateful for every donation and fundraiser that supports us. Installing defibs is just the start. With around 50 live defibs to service every three months, the ongoing work to keep them rescue-ready really adds up.
