๐ถ D66 APPEAL ๐ถ
Demento66 have been up and running nice and smoothly for almost four years now, but just recently, due to life's curveballs, our tight and happy crew have lost a couple of our valued volunteers.
We've been surely blessed to have two great sound engineers working with us, but sadly Mac, who takes care of the desk at most of our events is moving back to Scotland. Away back to his 'happy place'. We're going to miss him terribly, but we'll be sending him off with much love and many hugs.
Anyone who has attended any of our gigs or taken to the stage for us, will tell you how fantastic the sound is with Mac at the helm!
We have a more than capable, (also) fully qualified engineer in Callum, but since Callum gained his degree he started a new career which involves regular visits to China. Unfortunately, this means his availability might not fit around our artists free dates/tour schedules. Therefore, we find ourselves in a little Demento dilemma. It's nothing we can't work around - it might just mean that we're not able to bring our audience all the quality events that we would like to... unless anybody knows, or is, an experienced sound engineer who would be interested in being involved in our not-for-profit, music and the arts project - Demento66.
We usually aim to present one event per month, occasionally two. We take a Summer break in July and August due to lack of audience/performers. January and February are also left well alone, due to post Christmas poverty.
If you're interested in joining our friendly, music-loving crew of volunteers, just express an interest in the comments and we'll get back to you.
We're also looking for a couple of people to help with pre gig load in and set up, if anyone's interested? ๐ถ
