PRESS RELEASE

Glenrothes Art Club are delighted to announce that the PAMIS (Promoting A More Inclusive Society) art workshops for young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties will be restarting their workshops at Glenrothes Art Club studio from Saturday 25th January. The workshops will be held in the first floor studio above the foodbank at Caledonia House in the Saltire Centre from 2pm to 4pm on the last Saturday of each month and will be led by practising artist and teacher Dot Black and her sister Judy, an experienced ASN teacher. The workshops encourage individual creativity plus the social skills of working together in a group. Participants in this fun class will share the opportunity of exploring different techniques and art materials and will be able to take their own creations home afterwards. Financial support is provided by PAMIS, The Arts Society Fife and Fife Fabrications.
For Enquiries and bookings email: [email protected]
Judy’s mobile on the day will be 0785 058 5571
The photos attached are from previous PAMIS sessions and permission has been given for their publication.

Hi All

Welcome to the new year and I hope you are all well and looking forward to a creative 2025.

We are delighted to tell you that local artist and illustrator Gilli B is able to hold classes and/or courses for us this year.

Gilli is a well known illustrator, and has previously lectured in art and design at Fife College. She has also held classes and workshops at Forgan Arts Centre, Largo Bay Art Society, and local community groups in illustration, design, watercolour and mixed media. You can see some of her gorgeous work on Instagram, Facebook or her Etsy page.

She is happy to help you work through your own projects, or introduce you to new media or techniques, or just come along and play which is often the way we find what really interests us.

What I need to know is what you would prefer - a set of evening classes - or weekend workshops. She is available most evenings except Thursdays and most weekends.

Thanks for your support
