Flower Fairies a go go! See you Scottish Rural Action, Royal Highland Show

We’re putting Community at the heart of the 2026 Royal Highland Show - and this year’s weekend community showcase theme is ‘hopeful playful futures’.

Expect mischief and magic from The Walking Theatre Company's flower fairies! Also, during the weekend in the The Scottish Government tent on Avenue Q, there will be:

✴️ Interactive, creative activities designed by Imagine If 🌟
✴️ Hands-on learning & play from SRUC, plus interactive water-themed activities led by the University of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian University💧
✴️ Scottish Rural Action's “What Do You See Through Your Rural Lens?” activity, plus an interactive map of Scotland💚
✴️ Live music from The Balquidder Whistlers and The Woodsmoke Ranters 🎶
✴️ Stands packed with activities, temporary glitter tattoos and games for all ages🎨

For the third year running, Scottish Rural Action is partnering with an incredible range of organisations to deliver the Community Showcase at the Royal Highland Show 2026 🎉

We'd like to extend a huge thanks to The Scottish Government and Scottish National Rural Network for making this collective opportunity possible.

The Royal Highland Show (18th-21st June) brings people together to celebrate rural life — and the goal of the Community Showcase is to put 'Community' at the heart of the event.

This year, SRA and partners will host two open events on Friday 19th June, within the Scottish Government Marquee (Avenue Q). There will also be a Weekend Community Showcase – 20–21 June. This year’s theme is “play” — connecting nature, climate, creativity & community action 🌿🎨
