Unfortunately we've had to CANCEL this Sunday's SCRATCH as only two companies came forward with work to present. The next SCRATCH will be in September, dates to follow. If you have work you'd like to show at the next one please email [email protected]

The next date for SCRATCH in association with BARN will be SUNDAY 22 APRIL, 4pm at Red Brick Building, Glastonbury

If you’d like to present an idea or a short extract of work-in-progress at the Scratch Event email [email protected] with the following:
• Your Name/ Organisation
• Title of idea or extract
• Short description (one or two sentences will be fine for now)

SCRATCH is a platform for new work, ideas, fragments and so forth. It is also a supportive atmosphere for ideas to be discussed with other practitioners and members of the public in general. The event is presented in an informal and relaxed atmosphere with basic technical support provided. Even if you don’t have anything to present it is well worth coming along to support other practitioners (and using it for networking).

BARN is a three year theatre initiative that supports Somerset’s theatre-making sector to develop, test and showcase new work.
In the early stages of the making process, it’s sometimes good to try out new ideas in front a group of critical friends. The SCRATCH events will provide a safe and supportive environment for this to happen. Through BARN, we may then be able to offer further opportunities to develop the work and share it at works in progress events and showcase platforms.
