Toumani Diabate, griot and kora master... thank you for the music.

I discovered Toumani's music in the '80's listening to Andy Kershaw's show, and then saw him play in a WOMAD marquee at Glastonbury. He was playing with his uncle, also on kora. I was spellbound by the weaving of the two harps. The eyes of his uncle shone with pride and love.

His music goes straight to and will always be in my heart.
Gone too soon.

There'll be some divine harp jams going off in the angelic realms!

Here he is playing with his son... may his musical legacy continue to enchant and inspire.
