I'm really pleased to see David Harrow share the full video of his performance of Terry Riley's *In C* from the Assembly Rooms.

This was the first outing for a new triptych visual workflow that came together the night before the performance after a conversation with David. Sometimes the best ideas arrive at exactly the right moment.

Looking back now, it feels like one of those projects where music, visuals and collaboration all found the same wavelength.

Thanks, David — looking forward to whatever comes next.

A new iteration of the system has emerged.

This is IN:SPACE — System: Hilbert Space / Evolution 02.
A first test of the environment running as a standalone immersive installation.

A few people asked to see the three-screen setup in action after I shared the build, so here it is...

A couple of moments from Fractals in Space! showing the immersive visual environment in full flight during the Lords of Misrule soundcheck and Old Nic's opening set.

This was the first outing for the new three-screen Hilbert Space environment, and seeing people disappear into it made all the work worthwhile.

A few moments from a very special evening at the Assembly Rooms, Glastonbury.

David Harrow, Joe Muggs and Youth brought together decades of electronic music exploration for an intimate night of deep listening, improvisation and immersion.

From David’s modular interpretation of Terry Riley’s In C to the unexpected journeys through sound and space, it was a beautiful reminder of what happens when great artists are given room to explore.

A genuinely memorable night. ✨

From an empty room to an immersive audiovisual space.

A glimpse into the setup for the first night of the Ambient & Immersive Weekender at the Assembly Rooms, Glastonbury.

This was the first outing for a new 6m ultra-wide projection screen system, created to take the Reality Studios visual environment into a much larger format for David Harrow’s modular interpretation of Terry Riley’s In C.

The setup was intense, with a lot of problem solving, testing and adjusting right up until the doors opened — but seeing the space transform made every hour worthwhile.

Working with David also opened up new creative possibilities. An idea he suggested only days before the event led to developing a triptych approach for the visuals, pushing the system into a new direction and creating a much wider canvas for future work.

The room starts empty. The technology gets assembled. The lights go down. Then the space becomes something else.
