The Professor is nothing if not a creature of habit.
He'll be doing his "thing" at this year's Shepton Snowdrop Festival for literally the hundredth year on the trot.

Come and step into a magical garden with Make the Sunshine. These relaxed, playful dance workshops are led by experienced dancers and are perfect for giving something new a try. No experience needed at all. just bring your imagination and a willingness to have fun!

Help create and decorate a magical, playful paper world with Make the Sunshine. Sketch, shade, swoosh and scrunch as you bring an imaginative landscape to life. Hear Tall Tales and Magical Stories from The Professor, aka David Reakes of Tor Theatre.

Wassail Theatre Company's recent announcement that they are bowing out is a great loss for the badly battered theatre ecology of Somerset, and beyond.
But they went out with a bang, and the ripples keep on resonating.
Their farewell statement has reached the hallowed pages of The Stage, which the paper gave printed in full, including the gracious bigging-up that they gave us here at Tor Towers.
Bless you Wassail, and all who remember you fondly.

Nick Cottle sadly died on August the 11th 2025.
A local Councillor for many years, Nick was a great force for good in Glastonbury.
We filmed him in 2020 as part of our Windmill Hill film and we knew him as a good friend and neighbour.
Here he is in full flow.
RIP Nick, you will be missed.

Two events this coming weekend:
On Saturday we're at Bridgwater where Angela is appearing as The Rainbow Rider while The Professor is just making stuff up again.

Join us on Saturday 30 August from 12.00midday until 3.00pm for the final event in our summer programme at Blake Gardens, the much-loved Big Community Picnic!

We’re excited to welcome Tor Theatre for some fantastic live entertainment, plus there’ll be a bouncy castle, face painting, stalls and free children’s picnics available while stocks last.

We've spent the morning here at Tor Towers blow-drying a cactus.
Yep.
Just another day preparing quality theatre for families in Somerset.
This weekend we'll be telling stories, writing instant poetry and performing The Rainbow Rider at the Children's World Family Festival here in our home town of Glastonbury.
