Iyer,

it’s been a minute but this was a big win for me so I’m gonna shout about it.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with and (and a host of other heroes) on their new project and last week they absolutely tore up glasto with their set at .

It’s genuinely been a lifelong dream of mine to have some music I’ve worked on make it to the farm and I couldn’t have asked for a better entrance than riding on the shoulders of two musical goats and a giant, fire-breathing spider.

Big shout out to for doing all the hard work and fixing my mixes, Joel at Sarm for giving me the opportunity to be involved in this amazing project, team Mas Tiempo for having me on board and of course, and all my pals for taking the photo and gassing me up.

New Mas Tiempo music out today - go check it out. The team are just getting warmed up

Hope you’re all well!

Love,

J

And last but certainly not least on this bizarre instagram mixtape I’m force-feeding you is the outstanding “How U Been?” - by

Put together partly in Luke’s bedroom, partly in ‘s writing room he very kindly lent to me for the day, how u been is as simple as it is effective - here’s the recipe:

Take a hybrid drum groove, a bass loop, a slightly out of tune di guitar, a toy keyboard I recorded wrong, Luke’s lyrics and delivery, then let me dick around in protools with for a few hours and you have a super hit. It’s that easy!

All jokes aside, the response to this tune has been unreal and I’m super proud of what we put together.

Since putting this one out, I’ve been working closely with team baby behind the scenes on new material and the overall plan and at the risk of sounding a bit “big things coming soon” there’s some very exciting stuff on the horizon for BABY. Make sure to get on board now whilst it’s still underground so you can tell all your friends how you knew them before they got big (please)

Also, I don’t take enough photos during sessions so here’s me getting mugged off in yet another group chat

Love

J

What you’re about to witness can only be described and blind social media panic as I make an attempt to catch up a bit with some release stuff…

As this is going to be a bit chaotic I figured there’s no better place to start than ‘s red hot mess “Fresh Air”

The guys recorded this themselves at and then I had the distinct pleasure of doing ad-prod and the mix.

Really you need to listen to this one for yourself to get the full picture, but it’s an amazing piece of music that has thrown out the rule book. Ducking and weaving it’s way through super hard percussion and matter of fact spoken word to huge wall of sound, fuzz laden guitars and beautiful harmonies. The guys put something really special together hear and it was so much fun to help develop those ideas a make them shine.

Much like busses, you’ll wait for ages for me to post something and then 4 will come at once… 😬😬😬

So with that in mind, all aboard whilst I rattle through some releases I should of posted about ages ago. (Sorry)

First stop: 29 -

Probably one of my favourite tunes from the album, has absolutely no business going as hard as it does for a tune about needing the toilet but the fat bassline and Isaac’s vocal delivery turn this one into a low-key rager. It absolutely pops off live so make sure to get a ticket to a show if the opportunity comes your way!

Once again I make a little cameo in the quality video shot and directed by the main man

I was working on the radio edit - though it wasn’t long before I got distracted into conversation with the lovely people of the wider Baby Dave family, as captured here by the super talented .harvey.wallbanger

Monkey Brain the debut album from Baby Dave is out now, go stream it in all the usual places if you haven’t already

Peace,

Got a lovely surprise the other day to see a little tune that I did with WAY back when called “Wallpaint” popping up on her new EP.

There’s also a couple of other tunes that we did demos of on there too and it’s cool to hear how they’ve transformed as the Holocene sound has developed, but still have some roots in what we did a few years back.

Really great to see Sian go on and do some pretty amazing things and lovely to hear that old piano (that always needed tuning) again.

Check out wallpaint and others in all the usual places!

So once again catching up on what I’m miles behind on (I’m busy and sorry, OK!)

Here’s a little look at “Dress It Up” by

The story starts with me sat, having a bit of a disaster in a studio with a meddling interface, having the looming realisation that my first full-band production flurry after the closure of was not off to a great start… Whatever I tried, I couldn’t get it working and it was looking like we may have to rearrange.

In a last ditch attempt to find a solution, I dropped a post in the seemingly endless supply of knowledge that is asking if anyone had any ideas on how to fix it and (half jokingly) if anyone had some last minute studio space I could squeeze into over the weekend. It was at this point that the absolute angel that is swooped down and told me that .studios had some availability and that he’d be happy to help out after seeing the headache I’d just undertaken. Honestly, I couldn’t quite believe it was really happening but after some reassurance from Jake and the lovely Ella who manages bookings that I hadn’t actually lost the plot, we were booked in for the weekend.

What followed was 3 amazing days of outrageous performances from the zero conditional boys, exceptional knowledge and hard work from the amazing and a lot of me pinching myself as I undertook my usual silliness in the studio that some of my favourite ever records were made.

You can hear the fruits of our labour in all the usual places, as always your support is massively appreciated.

So great to see such a positive response to the debut track “Too Shy For Tennis”

As soon as I heard the demo, I fell madly in love with the tune so was super gassed to be asked to mix it. Isaac is a true rockstar and an absolute pleasure to work with. Chuffed to bits with how it’s turned out.

Check out the video and full track on the page, it’s a corker

Realising that I’ve fallen behind on release posting and there are a few more tracks in the pipeline, thought I’d just do a quick post to say thanks for the support on the debut single “Ferrari Red”!

It’s been really great to see the numbers ticking over and having you guys drop some very kind words about it in my Dms. I love what I do, but that stuff really is the icing on the cake and massively appreciated!

The follow up track “Old and Grey” is out now, you can find it on my portfolio playlist (link in bio) or through the bio.

Thanks,

J

Absolutely been blown away by the response to “Lots of Noise” the latest offering from the boys.

Huge shout outs to and everyone who’s been listening.

Hard to believe this is only the second track the boys have put out. We’re working on some more material at the moment and I can personally guarantee that if you liked the first two, you’re going to adore what’s to come...

Dream come true stuff, chuffed to bits. Big thanks to all involved!
