Before the TikTok algorithms. Before the endless genre labels. Before punk became something you could neatly package up and sell.

There were bands like The King Blues.

Formed in London in the mid-2000s, The King Blues built their name by smashing together punk, folk, ska, hip-hop and protest music, creating something that was impossible to ignore. Their songs tackled politics, inequality, love, anger and everything in between — delivered with the kind of energy that made their live shows infamous.

They went from underground favourites to major festival stages, packed venues and a devoted following, releasing albums including Punk & Poetry, Long Live the Struggle and The Future's Not What It Used to Be.

And now, they're bringing that history to Room 2 Glasgow.

This isn't just another band coming through Glasgow.

This is The King Blues.
