Cochiti Kids are having a SPRING FAMILY FUN DAY on Saturday 23 April (2-4 pm). We'll be singing and dancing about flowers blooming, birds singing and friends smiling! Everyone welcome.

The next block of 5 Tuesday sessions begin again on Tuesday 19 April. (19, 26 April, 3,10,17 May). Please let us know if you are interested in attending!
(Please note: There are no weekly sessions over the Easter and school holidays and the Monday afternoon sessions will not continue at the moment.)

The next 5-week block of Cochiti Kids music and movement classes will begin on Monday 22 February (1-3) and Tuesday 23 February (10-12). This block will cost £30 for adult + 1 child; £35 for adult + 2 or more siblings.

BUT the next Cochiti Kids event will be FAMILY FUN DAY on Saturday 20 February (2-4pm). All family members welcome!

(NOTE: Cochiti Kids will not be meeting on Monday 15 February and Tuesday 16 February because of school mid-term holidays.)

Cochiti Kids Winter Family Fun Day is just around the corner! On Saturday 20 February (2-4pm), we will be gathering to celebrate special winter events. We’ll dance in the New Year with a folkdance (“Nigun Attik”); we’ll do a simplified “Strip the Willow” for Burns Night; and then we’ll shake to the “Mardi Gras Mambo” from New Orleans. Not to mention singing songs about sledging down the slippery slope, a chubby little snowman, and five little Inuit Indians who live in an igloo. Fun for ALL the family—grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers. New and old friends welcome! (£8 family; snacks following; at Shawlands United Reformed Church Hall, 111 Moss-side Road).

Cochiti Kids WINTER classes have kicked off. But, my oh my, won't we have fun this week--singing and dancing about the SNOW!! It's not every week that the real world of nature cooperates with our imaginary adventures at music group! We have a lovely bunch of people at each of the two groups--you and your child(ren) are more than welcome to join us at either! (Mondays 1-3pm; Tuesdays 10-noon)

Over the past 18 years, children from 0-5 years have been enjoying Cochiti Kids—an entertaining, relaxing and educational music class. Children (as well as mothers, fathers, grandparents and carers!) love its unique programme of songs, poems and simple dances from around the world. Each week, an hour of musical activities is followed by an hour of socialising (with refreshments provided) in a spacious, comfortable hall.

Children choose from an extensive collection of percussion instruments to play in a band with Kris on saxophone, guitar and violin. Even young babies benefit from the live music, gentle movement, and the visual stimulation of colourful puppets and props. The small-group sessions are lively and imaginative, and the atmosphere is very friendly, making it a great place to foster a love of music.

-- The first 5-week course will run from Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 January through Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 February 2016. (£30 for adult + 1 child; £35 for adult + 2 or more siblings)

-- The second 5-week course will run from Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 February through Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 March 2016.

Every two months Cochiti Kids also have a special SATURDAY FAMILY FUN DAY (2-4 pm) at Shawlands United Reformed Church. The next WINTER Family Fun Day is Saturday 20 February 2016. EVERYBODY (including school-age children) is welcome! Newcomers Welcome! (£8/family)
