Poppy 💜

Poppy started dancing with us 8 years ago and has grown so much as a dancer. She takes show class, acro, hip hop and ballet classes and is part of our competition team. 18 months ago, Poppy told to me that she would love to take ballet but felt she was too old to start. Of course I told her this was not true and to come along and try the class. A year later and she received a High Merit in her Grade 3 RAD ballet exam! Here she is as the magic mirror in this year’s ballet production of Snow White. Poppy has proven that you can achieve anything you want if you put your mind to it!

“Imagination”

Words cannot describe how incredibly proud I am of every single dancer that took to the stage last night. From our adorable little tiny tots to our beautiful big girls, you were all absolutely amazing! Watching you all grow as performers makes my heart so happy 🩷

Thank you to my teaching team - Kate, Joanne, Sarah, Amy & Sam - for their hard work, commitment and dedication to these kids every week. I wouldn’t have the school that I have without them. Each one of them brings something special to our wee school and I appreciate them all so much!

Massive thank you to all of our chaperones, LJ, Laura, Fiona, Shereen, Diane, Pamela, Cali and Becca. These ladies give up their seats in the audience to look after our dancers backstage and we simply wouldn’t be able to run the show without them!

Thank you to Natalie my runner who makes sure everyone is where they need to be, running laps around the theatre so ensure the show runs smoothly. I’m sure she done at least 30k steps last night!

Thank you to Cali, Naomi, Laura and Kate for doing our dancers hair, it’s very much appreciated!

Thank you to Elaine, Lynn and Chloe for helping with the raffle and programs last night. I appreciate your continued support each year!

Thank you to my beautiful teaching assistants Holly, Sofia, Jorgie and Kaylah for all their help at classes each week. They’re the perfect role models for our little ones who look up to them 💜

Thank you to the staff at the Albert Halls for being so supportive from start to finish. From the event management team to the technical team, they’re all amazing!

Thank you to Lorraine for our studio portraits, fraserluisphotography for our on stage photos and 1 Studio Video for filming our show for us. Each one providing beautiful memories for our dancers and families!

A final thank you to all my wonderful parents. Thank you for choosing us to teach your children. For being so incredibly supportive of the dance school and for allowing us to be part of your child’s dancing journey. Some of these kids spend as much time at the studio as they do at home and I love that they choose to do this!

Ava 💜

Ava has been at Dazzle since she was 3 years old (now 10). She takes show dance, acro, hip hop, lyrical, jazz and ballet classes and is part of our competition team. Ava has come on leaps and bounds over the last year where she has really grown and matured, accepting corrections as a positive to enhance her performance instead of as a negative. By working hard on the goals set to her she continues to make lots of progress. We are super proud of her positive attitude towards dancing 💜

Polite reminder that we have a class uniform that should be worn by all students to each class. No joggies, jumpers, leggings or shorts (with the exception of acro).

Show Class, Lyrical & Jazz & Competition Class:
Purple skirted leotard & black dance tights (tiny’s)
Black and purple leotard & dance tights (mini’s)
Black leotard & dance tights (juniors & seniors)
Optional Dazzle leggings/shorts & Dazzle crop top
Jazz shoes for show class & jazz class

Hip Hop:
Dazzle or plain black leggings/shorts & Dazzle T-shirt & trainers

Acro:
Black leotard & plain black shorts
Black & Purple leotard & plain black shorts
Gold leotard & plain black shorts

Ballet:
Skirted ballet leotard, ballet socks & ballet shoes (Nursery-Primary)
Graded ballet leotard, ballet tights & ballet shoes (Grade 1-Grade6)

Hair must be tied back for all classes and in a ballet bun for ballet classes.

Dazzle T-shirts can be worn over uniform but all students must have the correct uniform on to each class.
