Naïve

Naïve House music and Gallic flair from September 2010. We hope to embrace that variety as we move forward, all the while still retaining a sense of Gallic panaché.

In September 2010 the unique allure of French house music and it’s inimitable flair led to a series of parties titled Naïve. They gave a flavour of both the French Touch avant gaurde and modern interpretations of the Gallic sound, with Phillipe Zdar, Pedro Winter, Brodinski, Falcon and Alan Braxè amongst the guests. We evolved over time, with new series of parties that went beyond the initial, nar

row boundaries that we set ourselves. French Touch was always one community’s interpretation of multiple strands of electronic music; space disco soundscapes and filter effects merged with the influences of Chicago and Detroit. In the spring of 2013 we welcomed a blend of house music artists that we feel represented the breadth of the genre - from distinguished Chicago figureheads such as MK Marc Kinchen to fledgling deep, soulful producers such as the Adana Twins and Detroit Swindle. We partnered with Feel my Bicep for a one off showcase event, in part arranged by The Arches, while we closed out our programme with guests such as Tom Trago and Danny Daze. We hope in the autumn and winter to continue to represent the diversity of house music, though have some special plans to indulge in bringing some of the genre’s veteran, accomplished producers to the city. Less flavour of the month and more grandeur.
