We recently had in recording material for her new EP. This session was all about removing the perception of tech from the performance, simply setting the ambience just right and letting the recording roll. The tracking already sounds like a record thanks to the combination of , .berlin and hitting the mothership just right! That’s the horizon we follow here at GloWorm, always.

Some shots from the recording sessions last month. Led by in-house engineer (also on bass duties!), Studio 1 was maxed out and beyond for this one (6 isolated spaces with the inclusion of Studio 2’s main booth!) to capture the amazing playing of Norrie and his band feat. on dobro and pedal steel, on piano, Euan Malloch on guitar and on drums. 📸 by Rachael Patt

Shout out to Iron Age Audioworks for these incredible preamps! 👌

They have seen a lot of use since first arriving at the studio, we are absolutely loving them. So much so…we have now invested in 2 of these QPP units, + 4 QP5’s (the 500 series iteration)! That’s 12 channels of Iron Age Audioworks glory across Studio 1 and 2 💪
