With collaboration being a big part of this phase of our project, we went to meet Louise Nolan Works in her new home by the new bridge over the canal by Ruchill.

It's a magnet for runners, walkers, cyclists and photographers! 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🧑‍🦯🚶‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚵‍♂️

She's been tasked with adding colour to this amazing feat of engineering, by creating thousands of ceramic tiles. It's no surprise that's she's always on the lookout for local community groups to give her a hand! 😉

We are now officially a part of the Artists in Communities! It's the next phase of what was the residency project supported by HQ GlasgowLife

This time John Binnie, Robin Mitchell and myself are free to roam across Glasgow and will be focusing on the freedom and health benefits derived from people-powered WHEELS!!! 🦽🦼🚲🛴🛹🛼

Today we went to visit Free Wheel North to see how we can work together to further their aim of accessibility to and for cycling in all its forms and increase their visibility.

And what a fantastic space it is! On Glasgow Green, with a cafe, amphitheatre and cycle track, it no longer wishes to be Glasgow's best kept secret. So we're hoping to make it the centre of our activities relating to the upcoming UCI Cycling World Championships 2023

Our artist in residency culminated in a very busy sharing event at Bridgeton on Monday 10th June. Representatives from the different groups we have been working with gathered to present some writing, short scenes and drumming. We also had a slide show of images from the project and cake and cake and cake... It was hot, but we had great fun!

Workshop with Empower held a Bridgeton Community Learning Campus. Tina got participants to conduct the band - and it was LOUD!

We have just taken delivery of our leaflets for our Artists in Residence sharing on Monday, June 10th at Bridgeton Community Learning Campus. We are very busy getting ready for it. Come and join us if you can.

We have been working with a crafting group at Bridgeton CLC for a number of weeks. We have been working on some drama scenes and writing with John as well as drumming with Tina. This week we were concentrating on our map of Bridgeton. We will add some of the writing and other art work to it next week. It is colorful! Photos by Aileen from the group and Robin.
