Brand new Glasgow based duo, Beth Taylor (Mezzo-Soprano) and Michal Gajzler (Piano) are delighted to be welcomed by Live Music Now Scotland Artist Scheme 2018-2021 Beth Taylor, Scottish Mezzo-Soprano and Polish pianist Michal Gajzler are two close friends, forming the New Horizons Duo, bringing high quality performances-to those who wish to hear them! Beth Taylor trained as a classical singer for
six years at the RCS, where she met Michal and gave him a heck of a hard time (and continues to do so), drawing repertoire from across the centuries and languages around the globe. Her solo engagements take her all over Europe’s opera houses, concert halls and Zoom meeting rooms, but she equally enjoys spending time at home in Glasgow working in the community and collaborating with new musicians, whether they are seasoned professionals, singing along or picking up an instrument for the first time. Michal Gajzler, born and raised in Poland, recently graduated with an MMus in repetiteurship at the RCS, after having graduated with an MMus in piano performance at the Krakow Academy of Music and an MA in musicology at the Jagiellonian University, Krakow… He’s really quite clever! As well as performing several complete operatic works as a pocket piano orchestra, Michal also works as an accompanist and vocal coach for distinguisged singers and choirs in Glasgow. New Horizons Duo joined Live Music Now Scotland in 2019, putting together concerts and workshops in schools, carehomes and art galleries so far and look forward to whatever new musical adventures and collaborations come their way
