saparilla is a dj, organiser, child of the water, born & raised in south london but forging themselves in glasgow

they are a self-taught dj, birthed on the airwaves of Subcity Radio, where they host a bi-weekly show.
having opened for a range of artists like James Massiah, DJ Spinn, Traxman, Gothtrad & Evissimax, saparilla is known for bass-heavy, percussive, genre-fluid fusions of music & soundbites from across the diaspora & the internet that synthesise the past, present, imagined futures to produce tonic whines in a way that is identifiably saparillic.

A space to move, listen and connect through sounds that don’t always get the room they deserve.

Expect DJ-led journeys across cultures, genres and communities. Come curious, come with friends, or come solo and leave knowing a few more people than you arrived with.

At a time when division and hostility are making headlines across the UK, we’re choosing to create a room built on respect, curiosity and care. We ask everyone joining us to look out for one another and help make the space welcoming to people of all backgrounds, cultures and experiences.
