Partickular Films are an award-winning production company
based at Film City in Glasgow. We produce commercials, documentaries, music videos,
creative projects and broadcast programming. Our work has featured on BBC television and radio,
on STV, at international festivals such as SXSW,
and in media outlets including The Sun, Kerrang,
the Daily Record, the Evening Times and the Herald.

The company name is inspired by our founder Joseph's home
town of Partick, in the West End of Glasgow. Partick (Scots: Pairtick, Scottish Gaelic: Pàrtaig) is an area of Glasgow, situated in the West End, on the north bank of the River Clyde.

With Season 2 of the hit Netflix detective series filming in Scotland in 2026, the Dept. Q Training Programme will offer training opportunities for up to 20 new entrants to the film & TV industry.

Supported by Screen Scotland, Sony Pictures Television and Netflix, trainees will be learning from some of the finest technicians and creatives working in the film and television industry.

🚨 The deadline for applications is 9am on Wednesday 29 April 2026.

Interviews will take place from Tuesday 5 May onwards, with placements lasting approximately 5-6 months, depending on the role.

💡 Trainees will be paid salaries of £750 per week (inclusive of holiday pay).

Today was the launch of the Michael Caton-Jones ‘This Broxburn Boy’s Life’ exhibition in his hometown of Broxburn. The exhibition is in collaboration with our documentary .

The event had over 100 people in attendance, including Michael’s sisters from Canada.

Thank you to West Lothian Council and the people of Broxburn for making the event so special for Michael and his family. ❤️

The exhibition is FREE and will run for 12 months at the Broxburn and Uphall Community Museum inside the Strathbrock Centre in Broxburn. 🎬

Looking east along Dumbarton Rd towards Partick Cross in 1955.

A crowd of weans queues outside the Western Cinema waiting for the Saturday "penny crush". It opened as the Garrick in 1916 but by the 60s had become run down. It closed in 1966 & was demolished in 1978.

We are excited to be launching our new exhibition This Broxburn Boy's Life, focusing on the work of Broxburn local film director Michael Caton-Jones. The display includes props and photographs from movies across his career exclusively on loan to the museum.

The exhibition is at Broxburn & Uphall Community Museum starting Wednesday April 22nd, beginning with a special launch event at 3pm. We would like to invite the local community to come and join us for the afternoon.
