Stellar Performing Arts aims to fulfil the needs of young talent across Scotland, showcasing their performance skills and giving them the opportunity to perform at many events and showcases throughout the year. Too often children in Scotland are unable to experience what it is like to train and be part of a professional show as the majority of castings are in England. Here are Stellar your child w

ill receive professional training every week in RAD Ballet, Commercial, Vocal and Acting as well as rehearsing for upcoming performances and shows. Every child will be nurtured and each child's skills will be showcased both at the shows as well as in one video showreel of their performing each year - either solo or in a group. For all Musical Theatre Performers, ballet is the underlying discipline and every week will include RAD syllabus ballet at different levels. We also offer commercial/hip hop, lyrical, technical jazz, funky jazz, advanced vocational classes for drama school candidates.

We are delighted to be holding a workshop audition for children interested in joining our successful company and performing arts school as we enter our 10th year from September 2026.

Auditions are open to young people aged 7- 17 who have a passion to perform.

During the workshop children will take part in singing, acting through song and choreography to create a short piece.

7-11yrs = 12:30pm to 2:45pm
12-17yrs = 3:15pm to 5:30pm

It is with great honour that we will be launching a new Scholarship for Alumni of Stellar who are studying in 2nd or 3rd year of Drama School. Nicky has been such a huge part of the Stellar family and we want to recognise her with a Scholarship in her name. We are ironing out the details with Nicky and hope to launch the first Scholarship end August/beginning September at a fundraiser for all Alumni and Advanced Students.

I'm sure many of you will have seen our student, Jessie-Lou, on BGT recently. Now that the auditions have finished I wanted to share her incredible performance. Jessie-Lou has trained with us for 7 years and was played a rough hand when she fell very ill with Transverse Myelitis back in 2024. After being paralysed from the chest down she has stunned and inspired me with her determination and resilience. She has not stopped any of her training but it is in dance classes that I am most proud of her. Despite her physicality being changed dramatically she turns up, gives 100% and performs both technique and choreography to the best of her ability. When watching her I do not look at her gait or struggles with balance...I watch her arms and face and her musicality. And I am proud. She is humble and hardworking and a true inspiration. She has always had a stunning voice but it's her everyday attitude and perseverance that I wanted to share.

You can catch Jessie-Lou live playing the iconic role of Mama Morton in our production of Chicago at Denny Civic Theatre, Dumbarton on 2nd and 3rd of May. Please come see this amazing girl showing ALL her talents and prepare to be inspired just like me.
