Big City 26 - Site map and key info for attendees is available on our website now over at bigcity.scot 🟨

The show is taking place at Queens Park Recreation Ground which located is on the east side of Queens Park near Cathcart Road. Our two main stages are covered tents, and the Rock Action popup is covered too.

Note entry to all tents is subject to capacity, this will affect the two smaller tents especially and we recommend getting to those early to see acts.

We recommend public transport in getting here, take the train (Queen’s Park/Crosshill/Mount Florida) or bus to Langside Road or Cathcart Road.

Under 16s are allowed but note the event is not suitable for very young children & babies, for any young fans attending ear protection should be worn. No alcohol, glass, umbrellas, or pro cameras can be brought on site.

If you join us early on, then note re-entry IS permitted if you wish to leave site prior to 7PM, speak to stewards on exit and you’ll be given a wristband that will allow re-entry. If you leave site after 7PM then re-entry is not permitted. So come down early if you can to see performances from 2PM.

As ever, dress for Scottish summer, and enjoy the food village and on site bars.

Big City is proud to be partnered with two Glasgow based charities for this year’s event Scottish Refugee Council 🧡 & Playlist for Life

Volunteers for both will be on site with collection buckets, have a chat and bring some cash with you if you’re interested in donating.

Scottish Refugee Council 🧡 is an independent charity dedicated to supporting people in need of refugee protection. We provide practical support and advice to help people rebuild their lives in Scotland. We work with communities and community groups. And we speak out against an unjust asylum system and campaign for policy changes that make a positive difference to people’s lives.

Playlist for Life is a music and dementia charity. Our vision is simple: we want everyone with dementia to have a unique, personalised playlist and everyone who loves or cares for them to know how to use it.

BIG CITY 2026 // RÓIS 🍉
Glasgow Queen’s Park - Saturday 29th August

RÓIS (pronounced RAW-sh) is a composer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and electronic artist from Fermanagh, whose songs breathe new life into a forgotten Ireland. Blending elements of folk, sean-nós, electronics, and jazz harmony, RÓIS’ genre-bending sound transports listeners to a different realm. With shapeshifting sets, no two performances are ever the same, as audiences accompany RÓIS into her sound world. Expect twists and turns of tempo and genre, and moments of sheer magic, as she conducts the energy of the room. This is a place where the ancient meets the new.

Her 2024 release MO LÉAN has swept the board winning the 2025 RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards: Best Emerging Artist and Best Original Folk Track, and the 2025 NI Music Prize for Best Live act and Best Album.

RÓIS performs in Glasgow this summer alongside Super Furry Animals, Spiritualized, The Twilight Sad, Brìghde Chaimbeul, Moin, Richard Dawson, Pollyfromthedirt & Curlew

BIG CITY 2026 //
Glasgow Queen’s Park - Saturday 29th August

Hailing from Darlington, Pollyfromthedirt creates raw, rough-edged alternative music steeped in grit, emotion, and unfiltered truth. Blending jagged guitar work with lo-fi textures and stark lyricism, their sound is as uncompromising as it is evocative. At the heart of Pollyfromthedirt’s music lies a deep sense of place and memory – songs that dig into the bones of English nostalgia, suburban unease, and the beauty found in broken things.

Pollyfromthedirt performs in Glasgow this summer alongside Super Furry Animals, Spiritualized, The Twilight Sad, Brìghde Chaimbeul, Moin, Curlew, Richard Dawson & RÓIS

BIG CITY 2026 //
Glasgow Queen’s Park - Saturday 29th August

Hailing from the Comeragh Mountains of County Waterford, The Wran are four brothers: Tommy, Danny, Seán and Stephen Dunford. They bring a fresh voice to Irish music, blending trad with punk and a hint of psychedelia to create music that feels both timeless and new. Drawing inspiration from Planxty, The Pogues and Lankum,

The Wran combines traditional and modern instrumentation, including banjo, harmonium, acoustic guitar, bass VI and drums. They are dedicated to keeping the Irish language, traditional songs and storytelling alive while continuing to push it forward in their own way.

After an explosive live debut in 2025, including accoladed performances at Glastonbury, Green Man, All Together Now, Electric Picnic and more.

The Wran perform in Glasgow this summer alongside Super Furry Animals, Spiritualized, Brìghde Chaimbeul, Moin, Curlew, Richard Dawson and more to be announced.

BIG CITY 2026 //
Glasgow Queen’s Park - Saturday 29th August

Such is the degree to which Richard Dawson has drawn down long drafts from the whirlpools of Elemental North Eastern Archetypes, he may now be one himself. Fearless in his research and willingness to follow his inspiration, Dawson has created an impressive catalogue of music and storytelling steeped in both ancient myths and contemporary dread. A fog of sickness, trauma and mute inevitability inhabits these records and is often expressed in the havoc with which Dawson’s hands produce sounds from his long-suffering guitar, an instrument as bruised, individual and indefatigable as its owner.

Rich(ard) Dawson performs in Glasgow this summer alongside Super Furry Animals, Spiritualized, Brìghde Chaimbeul, Moin, Curlew, The Wran and more to be announced.
