A Man Fell is an absolutely beautifully shot quieter documentary which follows the Palestinian occupants of many generations as they go about their lives in the building that was previously - The Gaza Hospital Sabra Lebanon - now a shell - quiet intimacy and stunning cinematography - a must not be missed documentary.

Coup 53
Director Taghi Amirani
Co-writer/editor Walter Murch
Starring: Ralph Fiennes
2019 / 120 minutes
With Iran and the world once again on the brink, COUP 53 feels less like history and more like a warning.
In 1953, a military coup led by British MI6 backed by the CIA overthrew Iran's democratically elected Prime Minister, Mohammad Mossadegh. His crime: nationalising the country's oil. The truth behind that original regime change for oil was buried for decades.
Iranian director Taghi Amirani spent ten years uncovering what really happened. Working with legendary editor Walter Murch (Apocalypse Now, The Conversation, The English Patient) and a gripping performance by Ralph Fiennes, the film unfolds like a John le Carré spy thriller — except every word is true.
COUP 53 exposes the roots of today's tensions with rare clarity and urgency.

A Man Fell
Giovanni C. Lorusso / 70 minutes / 2024 / Italy Lebanon France Colombia.
Sabra, in Lebanon, is known for the massacre carried out in 1982 by the Lebanese Phalange and the Israeli army to kill Palestinian citizens and Lebanese Shiites, leaving more than 3,000 victims. Here stands the Gaza Hospital, which after having been a Palestine Liberation Organisation hospital in the late 1970s was later dismantled, becoming a symbol of the survival of Palestinians, who still find refuge there. In the Gaza Building lives the protagonist of A Man Fell, 11-year-old Arafat, who spends his time among the ruins of the building’s eleven floors. Together with his friend Muhammad, he thinks about how to explore the forbidden basement, where ‘there is only s*x, drugs and death’, while everyone in the building talks about the probably false story of a man who allegedly fell from the fourth floor of that same building for unknown reasons.
