Home to Scotland's only artificial whitewater course, a flat water canal basin with swimming quality water, meeting rooms, and storage facilities. Pinkston Watersports is a Commonwealth 2014 Legacy Project, operated by Glasgow Watersports Ltd, a registered Scottish charity run by a Board of volunteers. Pinkston has played a role in facilitating the careers of international champions, with popular sport clubs, and a host of fantastic watersports providers operating directly onsite. Our aim is to increase public participation in watersports by promoting access to coaching, clubs, and events. Our communtiy includes the people local to our surrounding area and the organisations that support them.

Our instructors and staff are a huge part of what makes Pinkston what it is — whether they’re helping someone onto the water for the very first time, building confidence or just making sure everyone has a brilliant session.

Calling all Brownie & Guide leaders! 👋🧡

Looking for something a little different for your next group activity?

We recently welcomed this Brownie group to Pinkston for a paddleboarding session, where they worked together in teams, built their confidence on the water and — most importantly — had plenty of fun along the way! 🌊🏄‍♀️

Pinkston group sessions are a great opportunity for young people to learn new skills, work together and experience watersports in a supportive environment. They can also complement relevant water-based activities and badge work.

Meet Kyle – our new Activities Manager! 👋

Kyle has been part of the Pinkston team since 2020, working across the centre as an instructor, coach and volunteer before stepping into his new role as Activities Manager.

With a background in Adventure Education and experience working in the outdoor industry both in the UK and internationally, Kyle brings a wealth of practical experience to the role. His biggest passion is white-water kayaking, alongside safety and rescue, and he loves helping people build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy being on the water.

Over the years, Kyle has worked with everyone from first-time paddlers and school groups to experienced white-water kayakers, and has seen first-hand the positive impact outdoor activities can have on people.

As Activities Manager, Kyle is looking forward to supporting Pinkston’s instructor team, developing the activities and programmes we offer, and continuing to make sure everyone who visits Pinkston has a safe, enjoyable and memorable experience.

When he’s not working, there’s a good chance you’ll still find him in a kayak somewhere! 🚣‍♂️🌊
