Just one week until the full album release, and today we're dropping the third single from Justyna Jablonska's incredible Unforeseen on our Alumni Records Glasgow label.

9 Daughters (featuring Monika Niemczynowicz) is an old Latvian song featuring huge layered vocals, cello and field recordings to create an immersive headphone experience.

The full album deeply rooted in the themes of migration, belonging, loss, and adaptation - birds and their changing migratory patterns become a poetic thread linking human displacement, memory, and ecological uncertainty.

We’re thrilled to share the latest release on our record label Alumni Records Glasgow , which exists to release the music of artists who have passed through our studios and classroom.

Bloki is the second single from Unforeseen, the upcoming debut solo album from artist, past student and virtuoso cellist Justyna Jablonska.

Unforeseen is deeply rooted in the themes of migration, belonging, loss, and adaptation - birds and their changing migratory patterns become a poetic thread linking human displacement, memory, and ecological uncertainty.

I found this great picture today of the force of nature that was Harvey McKay as he delivered his most recent masterclass session here at the studio...I had no idea it would be the last time I'd see him.

We've known each other for nearly two decades - DJ'd together, shouted about techno a lot, and attended many an afterparty. He was always so keen to get involved with everything at the studio - teaching masterclasses, sharing his deep passion for his craft and helping the next generation come along.

Absolutely gutted today about the news that Harvey has passed away. His relentless passion for the music he created will live on. ❤

Sublime Sound releases music on labels such as the deeply influential Nervous Records and Glasgow's finest Remmah, as well as projects such as Anhad + Tanner on Anjunadeep.

Anhad is also a lecturer in music and is keen to get a discussion going on what it means to be an artist in the current electronic music landscape.

**This Friday 13th March!**

We're looking forward to our next Masterclass which is focussing on innovative ways to use Ableton Live for production and real-time live performance.

Stuart Brown is one of Scotland’s top jazz, session and touring drummers who specialises in using Ableton Live in live performance situations. His solo project, MNDMTH, combines hybrid electro-acoustic drumming with real time triggered and audio-reactive visuals to creative live multimedia performances.

This masterclass will focus on ways of using Ableton Live in real time live performance. Stuart breaks away from the standard Ableton approach, performing with no pre-recorded tracks, clips or loops, using his hybrid drum kit as a multi-timbral audio-visual performance tool.
