Some beautiful moments from the recording sessions for Beacons by Romy Wymer & Rebekah Woodier ✨

This gorgeous EP features original compositions for cello and harp—a combination that fills the room with warmth, depth, and atmosphere. It was a real pleasure to welcome Romy and Rebekah to Dystopia and help bring these pieces to life.

Our large live room provided the perfect setting for the instruments to breathe, allowing us to capture a natural, organic sound with plenty of space and detail.

John Colrain's The Return of the Hampden Roar - Recording a World Cup single at Dystopia Glasgow!

John Colrain is a taxi driver from Glasgow who also writes songs and performs as a jazz vocalist. John visited Dystopia recording studio in Glasgow to record his World Cup song 'The Return of the Hampden Roar' inspired by Scotland's 4-2 win over Denmark taking the nation to its first World Cup in 28 years.

Here are some cool snapshots of Maz and the Phantasms working with our own Luigi Pasquini - Sound Engineer, co-producing two new singles here at Dystopia Studio.

The band recorded two songs in three days and mixed both singles, starting with live tracking on bass and drums. The huge live room here really supports sessions like these, giving each musician space and delivering an excellent, natural sound — especially for acoustic instruments like drums.

The singles will be out soon — we can’t wait to hear them out in the wild.
