Haunt An artistic curatorial venture in Glasgow. HAUNT is a new curatorial venture based in Glasgow and run by a committee of unknown individuals.

Exhibiting within a HAUNT space will lead to opportunities for your work to be stolen or destroyed. We desire to create an open situation for which no one in particular is responsible, to re-examine and break down notions of identity, individuality, value and art. Committee members will remain anonymous, as will all artists working with HAUNT. (Though the option to work under an alter ego or pseud

onym is viably present) The main purpose is to remain anonymous out with the confines of institutional borders. It is an experimental collaborative project that uses an outdoor space to present exhibitions, performances and events within the city. The use of this space, located between several galleries is in itself an artwork. Through HAUNT we intend to engage actively and critically with the mechanisms and politics of the art world.

HAUNT invited over 30 local and international artists to participate in a cash free art fair where they agreed to enter their work into a random art exchange program. Their work was displayed on 11th December from 7pm-10pm after which they did not have their work returned as it was given in exchange for another art object. All artists remained anonymous. None of the work in LOOT was for sale.
