Ceremony East Coast -
Ceremony East Coast, or short CEC, is John Fedowitz on (bass-) guitar and vocal mic and Sandra Fedowitz on drums. You also might have seen them as the current rhythm section of A Place to Bury Strangers.
CEC loves relentless live shows and releases: Drone bass lines, white-noise guitars, savage drums and intense vocals. Nothing polished, highs and lows. The two of them insist on keeping their sound unapologetically human.

test plan -
test plan are looking for the sweet spot between dancing and moshing.
Formed in 2022 by Rory Dickinson (bass), Michalis Fragkiadakis (guitar), and Max Mason(drums/vocals), the London-based DIY trio cultivate a ferocious blend of noise-rock, dance-punk, and post-hardcore.

Winds of overloaded guitar feedback and distortion are punctuated by crunching drums andthrobbing bass, all bound together by howls of angst and chaotic energy. Their dynamic live performances beckon a meeting point where volume and energy collide - intense, visceral, and unfiltered, hitting like a punch in the gut: sweat-soaked, teeth-rattling, and gloriously unhinged.

Introducing Radhika for FREAKENDER 2026, we're big fans of Radhika here at Freakender and had the pleasure of being involved in her album launch a few months back (via Pop Mutations & monorail) and knew then we needed to get her and band along for Freakender - Friday 18th September @ The Old Hairdresser's

Radhika will be joined by the legendary Jill Bryson of Strawberry Switchblade to sing a couple of Strawberry Switchblade classics as part of Freakender. We are honoured.

Radhika’s music takes inspiration from the films of David Lynch, her Indian heritage, and fellow pop artists Cocteau Twins, Broadcast, Felt, Strawberry Switchblade and The Go-Betweens.

Introducing Babyshark for FREAKENDER 2026, so good at last years fest we had to get them back for Freakender proper - Saturday 19th September @ The Old Hairdresser's

Babyshark balances pop melodies with playfulness and sonic exploration. What originally began as a solitary digital project has since moved into the physical world, growing into an all-female ensemble. Part rock, part electronic, part dance, and sometimes even part honky-tonk, Babyshark shapes evolving musical interests and the ephemeral self into dreamy, immersive pop.

Introducing The Floordwellers for FREAKENDER 2026, Glasgow young guns playing the best 60s garage rock n roll, they blew us away recently supporting Levitation Room and Soledad Brothers so had to get them on the fest - Saturday 19th September @ The Old Hairdresser's

The evolving band ‘The Floordwellers’ radiate twangy guitar riffs and pounding drums, blending the sound of the 60s freak beat scene and psychedelia. Formed in 2024, The Floordwellers continue to grow.

Introducing Gichard for FREAKENDER 2026, fresh out the oven post punk duo from members of other Glasgow faves Dragged Up. They support Black Doldrums earlier in the year and we were immediately hooked - Sunday 20th September @ The Old Hairdresser's

Gichard are Chas Lalli and Lisa Jones, a Glaswegian duo writing surrealistic, post-punk-inflected
vignettes laden with hooks and with a foot in the underground. Previously collaborating in the band Dragged Up Gichard’s debut recording Chins For Lefty is the band’s first musical statement. Recorded mostly at home in 2025, the recording was picked up by Night School Records before the group had even played live.

The band presents a skewed universe populated by lyricist Lisa Jones’ outsider characters and moral
dilemmas, shot through with an achingly funny and absurdist deadpan delivery redolent of the west of Scotland. Musically, Chas Lalli’s music direction channels the vision into lo fi, catchy chunks of cosmic, post-punk. “Gichard” summarises the group’s ethos - a made up name that sounds familiar but isn’t.

Chins For Lefty is released May 29th on Night School Records.

Introducing Hound for FREAKENDER 2026, Shetland born Glasgow bred slackers return to Freakender with a new album in tow - Saturday 19th September @ The Old Hairdresser's

Hound is a Glasgow four-piece making melodic slacker rock cut through with a sparkling seam of romanticism and power-pop hooks. Formed by Shetland-born songwriter Zack Manson alongside Martin McCormack, Joseph Cardle and Lewis Douglas, the band trace shifting relationships with friends, family, partners and place with both specificity and universal resonance.

Following their 2024 double EP Some Days Were Good... But Mostly It Was Grim, Hound have honed their sound into something more cohesive, driven by a tight bond and instinctive chemistry. Building on the bones of Manson’s songwriting, their collaborative process brings texture, movement and balance at once perfectly in step, then falling away to let individual moments shine.

Their debut album Another Lifetime in a Different Country, due for release in 2026, captures a journey away from home and back again, reflecting a softening perspective on where you come from. Rooted in themes of distance, return and connection, Hound’s music holds the comfort, tension and warmth of seeing familiar places and people in a new light
