Hope everyone has a great time at this weekend! I had such good fun creating this year’s festival poster.
I used their primary colour palette and designed something reminiscent of classic sign painter shocards, borrowing the smile on the teacup from an old Glasgow Smiles Better poster ☕️

Couple of WIP photos of painting ’s car last week!
I drew straight onto the van’s bonnet and front doors using a classic serif lettering style, nice and distressed to fit the vibe of his logo and vintage car. Finished off with his motto, handle on the back and even wee logos on the wing mirrors 🛠️

Another year, another , this time in Berlin 🇩🇪
An incredible weekend with 60 burds from all over the world - workshops, talks, demos, great chat with pals old and new!
A big highlight was special guest Chantal, a French sign painter who painted signs throughout her town for decades, showing us how she paints (sitting down, with mostly upstrokes!!) I tried my hand at her signature style, available as a typeface called Chaumont, on my tiny panel as a tribute 💙
We raised over 1000€ in our auction, where I was chuffed to snag a beaut of a panel by and took mine home with her!
Thank you so much to .signpainting .huugo for the excellent organisation ⭐️
I’m constantly amazed at how far this movement has come in four years and am so excited to see where it takes us all next! 🦅

Had the best time at in sunny Spain last week! A whole lot of painting, chatting, cycling through the fields and drinking vermouth with old pals and new.

The panel auction at the end of the meet raised over 2000€ for the local community affected by the recent flood disaster 🎉 My ‘signs, please’ panel was based on a design I spotted on a glass bin which I just thought was too cute not to replicate in Letterheads style! We snapped up the very nice Rotulos sign by to hang up at

Thanks to and the team for organising such a brilliant meet. There’s nothing more inspiring than a bunch of folk from all over the world getting together to share their love of signs and letters 🌞

A few months ago my no. 1 turned the big 3-0 🎂 He has a big collection of antique mirrors (which I didn’t even know about until a few dates in!) and almost exclusively eats grass fed beef and organic eggs, so I drew up, painted and gilded this for him to add to the collection hanging in our hall 💚🥚🥩
